Baby Development at 8 Months (Video)

By month 8, you have probably seen a lot of changes in your baby. Here's what to expect during this time:\

By this period, babies are much more aware of their surroundings. Your little one is probably crawling around your entire home and getting into things. This is when your baby is finally gaining some strength. Your infant might even be able to pull his or her body up to a standing position with some kind of support.

This is also a time when motor skills start to develop. Your little one may see something, realize he or she wants it and crawl across the room to obtain it. Now is when your baby's grasp is becoming stronger, too. He or she may use the pincer grasp, which is the thumb and the finger, to pick up various items. Be sure to not leave any choke hazards on the floor.
