The cribs' drop-side plastic hardware can break or detach (often when the drop-side is accidentally installed upside down), become deformed, and/or go missing. Any of these defects can cause the drop side to detach, creating a dangerous gap between it and the crib mattress. So far, 110 detachments have been reported. Of this number, 20 are blamed for falls from the cribs, while 15 led to children becoming entrapped in the gap. Four of these entrapments resulted in suffocation.       PediaCare Children's Medications The Consumer Products Safety Commission recently issued a warning about sling carriers for babies. Slings can pose two different types of suffocation hazards. In the first few months of life, babies cannot control their heads because of weak neck muscles. The sling's fabric can press against an infant's nose and mouth, blocking the baby's breathing and rapidly suffocating a baby within a minute or two. Additionally, where a sling keeps the infant in a curled position bending the chin toward the chest, the airways can be restricted, limiting the oxygen supply. The baby will not be able to cry for help and can slowly suffocate.
sproutstuffrefunds@gmail.com This sling poses a risk of suffocation; a 10-day-old baby is reported to have suffocated in a Sprout Stuff ring sling. Immediately stop using the sling and contact Sprout Stuff at (877) 319-3103 or by e-mail at
