Summer Fitness Challenge + Giveaway Day 4

Day 4 with Kristin from Stuft Mama
Hello fellow mamas. My name is Kristin and I blog over at STUFT Mama. As a fitness professional and busy mom myself, I’m so excited to be a part of this Summer Fitness Challenge.
I’m a mom to 2 ½ year old rambunctious toddler twin boys. I keep busy running marathons, teaching fitness classes, owning a business, experimenting in the kitchen, burning vegetables in the oven and trying to keep my head on straight.
I’ve always had a passion for health and fitness. As all other moms out there, it’s been a challenge figuring out how to balance it all. To be honest I still struggle on a daily basis with trying to fit everything in. I have found though that making time to exercise is one of the most important things we can do for ourselves and our family.
Exercise makes us feel better both physically and mentally. Personally I feel like I can be a better mom when I move and treat my body well. That being said, the thing for us moms is that we don’t have a lot of time. There are definitely days when we can’t get to the gym or we just can’t find the time or equipment to get a lengthy workout in.
Days like that are perfect for incorporating short workouts into your day with your kids. I love working out with my boys whether it’s just running (or walking) with them in the stroller or doing some fun family moves together. I like to think that every little bit of exercise we do counts for something. If you only have 10 minutes, use them. Do a 10-minute workout. We need to make the most out of the small amounts of time that we have. A lot of the time we also have to pick activities that either include the kids or can be done with them close by. I know this is something I deal with every day. I like to look at it as an opportunity to be a great example for our kids to see how being physically active plays a major role in healthy living. See, it’s a win-win.
I came up with my 3 favorite moves for you. You can pretty much do them anywhere you want.
They’ll get your heart rate up and hit all your major muscle groups in a short amount of time. Not to mention your kiddos just might want to do them with you (I know my boys usually do).
These moves can be modified if needed and modifications are shown in the video. I promise if you do these 3 moves just for a minute each to start out with you’ll feel it. I encourage you to go through 3 times, but just do what you can.
You’ll see in the video there is a lot going on around me, but that’s what we deal with all the time over here. I’m sure some of you can relate.
