Sex After the Baby: Three Ways to Keep It Alive

The new baby will be your primary focus, and when you're not attached to your little one, you'll be thinking about sleep - but don’t forget about connecting with your other honey, even if it’s for just a few minutes a day. Here are three fun tips to help boost your team morale when you need it the most.

1. Over dinner, talk about something other than the baby. It might be hard, but do your best. Make a rule that the first person to say “baby” has to do the dishes or change the next poopy diaper!

2. Get out of the house together. Even if it’s just a quick trip to the Starbucks drive-through, you’ll both appreciate the break from the house of baby. Your mom/MIL/sister/BFF will probably be happy to watch the baby sleep for a bit.

3. Touch is good. Having a baby close to you almost 24/7 can make a mom feel claustrophobic and not very romantic, but don’t discount the power of a 30-second back massage or a quick snuggle before bed to make you feel a little like your pre-baby self.
