Your new book has a lot of information about how to better feed our children. What are the most important takeaways that, if nothing else, you’d like parents to know about healthy eating in babyhood?


I think most parents don’t get how deeply their kids’ food preferences are formed by early experiences. We have this idea that it’s a matter of chance or heredity whether children will like broccoli or not, or that kids are predisposed to not like vegetables. Once you understand that we learn foods the same way we learn language and that it’s really easy to create a passion for good food, the rest is just learning how to create that passion. And that part is really simple.
