Jessica Simpson is 20-Plus Pounds Down. How Do I Know?
Posted by Morgan Benzian
Jessica Simpson has finally gave birth to a baby girl, Maxwell Drew.
All reports say that mom and baby are doing well, and I can't imagine how happy she is to have that nearly 10-pound baby out of her 5'2" frame. I had a 9-pound baby, and I'm 5'4" and I was practically doing jumping jacks and handstands trying to get that baby out of me. So Jessica, if you are reading - I feel for you, sister. Seriously.
Throughout her pregnancy, there were reports about how much weight she had gained during the 9 months. The last thing I want to do is give any woman a hard time about pregnancy weight gain, and sometimes there isn't really a whole lot you can do about it.
But wait a minute....
No one really knows how much pregnancy weight Jessica Simpson gained, and seriously - who freaking cares.
Here's the good news: She's already down 20 pounds! You want to know how I know that? It's basic math. Check it out:
- Baby: 9lbs 13oz
- Placenta: 1lb
- Amniotic Fluid: 2lbs
- "Other" Fluids: 4lbs
- Blood: 4lbs
- Uterine Shrinkage: 2lbs
Total: 22-23lbs
You go girl! Now, take the next 6 weeks to rest up and enjoy that baby.
How long did it take you to lose the baby weight?
