Another Birth Control Recall

Beware the birth control pill. Hot on the heels of a birth control recall earlier this month, another company is recalling 7 lots of birth control pills due to a packaging error.

Glenmark Generics Inc. is recalling birth control packets of Norgestimate and Ethinyl Estradiol after a consumer complained that her pills were packaged in the wrong order.

Seven lots of pills are being recalled: 0411010104110106, 04110107, 04110114, 04110124, 04110129 and 04110134. Glenmark has not revealed how many packages of pills are included in the recall.

While the pills pose no immediate health risk, taking them out of order could make them ineffective. Consumers affected by this recall are advised to return their pills to their pharmacy and start using a non-hormonal birth control method  immediately.
