This is a post for all you, “I want to lose the baby weight yesterday"-ers. For the mamas who want to feel like themselves again… and QUICK.

The belly needs to go.

The thighs need to slim down.

Those bags under the eyes – they must weigh, what, five pounds a piece too? Get rid of those.

In a society that often jumps straight to the latest fad and quickest way to lose weight, I’d like to encourage you all to TAKE IT EASY.

(I know. A trainer saying take it easy.)

Bear with me.

If it took you nine months to put on the baby weight, it should stand to reason that it will take about nine months to take it off. Give or take, since every woman’s body responds differently to pregnancy.

New mothers – what you just put your body through is probably the wildest ride of hormones, weight gain and just overall CHANGE that it will ever experience. Be kind to it. Pushing your body to the extreme will only backfire on your later (with overuse injuries and burn out).

Ease back into exercise by focusing on this motto – JUST MOVE.

For thirty minutes a day, JUST MOVE.

Walk, jog, take the stairs, play with your toddler, sneak in some push-ups during naptime. These all can ease back into your exercise routine.

Every bit counts too! And it doesn’t have to be done sequentially! 10 minutes here, plus 20 minutes there, adds up to a better fitness level and a slimmer YOU!

From this trainer to you – I say TAKE IT EASY and JUST MOVE. That’s my professional advice.

-----------

Let’s MOVE together, shall we?!

This week I came up with a WALKING WORKOUT that can be completed in 30 minutes. Lace up your tennis shoes and strap your little one in the stroller – let’s walk!

What You Need:

A walking path that can easily facilitate light jogging with a stroller.

How Often:

4-5 times per week!

(If you have a Pinterest board, “pin” this workout so that it can be easily found!)

QUESTION: What are some other ways that we can JUST MOVE throughout the day??
