My Son Pees Sitting Down...
...And That's Just Fine with Me!

I need to rant something to you all as I just spent an hour ( or what seemed like one ) in the bathroom cleaning a toilet that just got cleaned two days ago. It was filthy. Caked with disgustingness and right now you can thank your lucky stars I don't photograph everything!
Little boys are taught to pee standing and poop sitting down, right? Right. Currently, my little man sits for both situations. He has stood to pee before, but as of late, he seems to favor the sitting position.
And that's just fine by me.
Why?

The back of the toilet, you know the part that has the two hinges? That is a breeding ground for nuclear waste.
Yes, the plastic covers come off. Big deal! It still fosters leftover urine and other particulates. If my son sits, then his pee goes no where near that area. Therefore it isn't as much of an issue.
But what about the front of the toilet?
I'm glad you asked..
The front consists of the ring, inside the bowl and down the porcelain base. No little hinges! No little nooks and crannies! Wipe it down with a Clorox wipe or swish the bowl with a wand and PRESTO! A clean toilet front!
I hate cleaning the bathroom as does anyone else. But if I don't stay on top of it because of a 15-month-old walker who licks everything I'm going to have two very sick kids a lot all the time!
So, honey, go ahead and pee sitting down. Your mom thanks you very much.
